 2025 지스타의 뜨거운 열기가 부산을 가득 채우고 있다. 매년 지스타에는 다양한 게임들이 자리를 채우지만 신작 위주 박람회인 만큼 본인의 애정 게임이 나올 가능성은 희박하다. 그런데 벡스코가 아닌 센텀시티역에서 의외의 게임을 발견할 수 있었다.
 바로 넵튠 자회사 님블뉴런의 '이터널 리턴'이다. 보통 서비스를 안정적으로 유지하는 게임들은 지스타에 얼굴을 내밀지 않는다. 이러한 관점에서 지스타 취재 도중 이터널 리턴을 마주할 줄은 예상하지 못했다. 평소 이터널 리턴을 애정하기에 정말 반가웠다.
 이터널 리턴은 '2025 부산 PLAY ON &amp; POP UP' 오프라인 스토어를 진행 중이다. 위치는 센텀시티역 지하 2층 광장이다. 지하철역과 롯데백화점, 신세계백화점의 연결 구간이기에 위치를 찾기 쉽다.

 현장에서는 공식 굿즈와 함께 '루미아 야시장'으로 불리는 2차 창작 굿즈들도 함께 판매하고 있었다. 공식 굿즈와 2차 창작 굿즈 모두 높은 퀄리티로 구매 욕구를 자극했다. 
 이터널 리턴은 2차 창작자들을 적극적으로 지지하며 인게임에도 많은 패러디가 존재한다. 굿즈를 구매하라는 귀여운 샬럿을 보고 있으니 절로 미소가 나왔다. '김블붕!'이라는 유저 사이 애칭은 얼리 액세스 시절부터 게임을 즐겼다면 익숙한 호칭이기도 하다.
 굿즈 외에도 현장 이벤트도 존재했다. 팝업스토어에 정해진 시간마다 등장하는 이터널 리턴 공식 캐스터 '천시아'와 코스프레 모델 '결제'가 매 시 45분마다 현장을 빛낸다.

 QR 코드를 통해 샌디스크 브랜드스토어 알림받기를 누른 뒤 직원에게 보여주면 다트 이벤트에 참여할 수 있다. 5번 던져서 50점 이상을 기록하면 굿즈 수령이 가능한 룰렛을 돌릴 기회를, 100점 이상이라면 확정적으로 한정판 장패드를 수령할 수 있다.
 현장에서 굿즈를 구매하는 다양한 관람객들과 이야기를 나눠 본 결과, 대부분 지스타를 관람하던 중 팝업 스토어 소식을 듣고 잠시 숨을 돌릴 겸 방문하는 인원들이 많았다. "한 관람객은 부산에서 반가운 얼굴을 마주하니 본능적으로 발걸음을 옮겼다. 예상치 못한 선물을 받은 기분이다"며 소감을 남겼다.
 게이머들에게 현재 이터널 리턴에 대해서도 물어봤다. 한 메테오라이트 유저는 "이번 시즌은 내실을 다지는 기간이라 사실 게임이 조금 심심한 측면이 있다. 그래도 무분별한 변화보다는 훨씬 낫다. 다음 시즌에는 더욱 재미있지 않을까 기대중이다"고 후기를 남겼다.
 친구들과 같이 방문한 골드 유저는 "가볍게 게임을 즐기는 입장에서 나쁘지 않다. 이런 자리까지 열어준 님블뉴런에게 고마움이 가득하다, 응원하는 유저들이 많다는 점을 기억해 줬으면 좋겠다"고 응원의 메시지를 전달했다.
 센텀시티역에 등장한 이터널 리턴 팝업 스토어, 낭만과 팬심이 가득했던 장소를 사진으로 담아봤다.
