 먼저 5일 LG전자 월드 프리미어에 등장한 클로이드가 친근한 눈웃음과 가사 노동을 선보였습니다. 냉장고에서 우유를 들어 옮기고, 소파에서 물건을 치우는 과정이 마치 인간의 행동처럼 자연스럽게 이어졌습니다. 클로이드가 세탁기에서 세탁물을 꺼낸 후 이동해 수건을 개자 사람들의 환호와 박수가 나왔습니다.

 한국 스타트업의 로봇들도 빼놓을 수 없었습니다. 손에 여러 센서를 부착한 에이로봇의 '앨리스'는 공장 컨베이어에서 물건을 들어 올린 뒤 비어 있는 칸을 파악해 자동으로 옮겼습니다. 어떠한 인간의 개입도 없었습니다.

 관람객들이 줄지어 모인 부스를 가보니 거기엔 권투장을 똑 닮은 부스가 있었습니다. 빨간 글러브를 낀 유니트리의 로봇이 복싱 시연하자 관객들의 카메라가 온통 로봇을 향했습니다.

 중국 스위치봇의 가사 로봇도 시연을 위해 대기 중이었습니다. 오래 기다렸지만 로봇은 옷가지를 잡을듯 말듯 하더니 결국 잡지 못했습니다. 로봇들이 제대로 작동하지 않자 직원은 연신 조금 더 기다려야 한다는 제스쳐를 취하기도 했습니다.

 싱가포르의 로봇 기업, 샤르파의 부스도 북적거렸습니다. 로봇이 음성 인식 기술을 통해 블랙잭 딜러 역할을 하자 너도나도 몰려들어 카드를 받고 마이크에 대고 '힛'을 외쳤습니다. 로봇은 주변 환경이 조금 시끄러웠는지 처음에는 헤매기도 했지만, 점차 능숙하게 딜러 역할을 해냈습니다.
