          <p contents-hash="8294f8da2b12bb9bddd3a1ae3f94517a6b4c7ab945fba181492322ce27f53f3e" dmcf-pid="5omCvk1yTv" dmcf-ptype="general">이날 권오중은 "비교 때문에 그림을 포기했다가 다시 시작했다. 지금은 작품이 판매되고 해외 전시 초청까지 받으며 작가로 활동하고 있다"고 아들의 근황을 전하며 희귀 질환을 앓고 있는 아들에 대해 "병명이 없다. 'MICU1'이라고 하는데 유전자나 단백질의 기호 이름이다. 병명이 없다는 건 그만큼 희귀하다는 거다. 세계적으로 2014년에 알게 된 병이고 저는 2018년에 알게 됐다. 우리나라 최초 사례고 전 세계에서도 10여 명뿐이라 치료제 개발도 쉽지 않다. 그래도 두 달 전쯤 미국에서 아들의 질환에 관심을 갖고 있다는 연락을 받았다"고 설명했다. </p>
          <p contents-hash="6c54d5e711430250c408df8a5fee851536ee8c373c63fd9cfb908f28f171385c" dmcf-pid="1gshTEtWhS" dmcf-ptype="general">그러면서 그는 아들이 과거 심각한 학교 폭력을 당했다고 털어놨다. 권오중은 "아들이 어느 날 학교에 가기 싫다고 하더라. 맞았다고 해서 학교에 갔는데 가해자가 그런 적 없다고 잘 놀아주고 있다고 해서 아들을 혼냈다. 나중에 아들이 목을 다쳐 응급실에 가야 한다는 전화를 받았다. 알고 보니 1년 동안 5명에게 괴롭힘을 당한 것"이라고 하며 "몽둥이로 때리고 기어다니라고 했다더라. 가해자가 창문 옆에 있던 아들을 괴롭히면서 창문 파편이 목에 박힌 거였다. 경찰 조사까지 있었지만 한 명만 전학 가고 나머지는 학급 교체에 그쳤다. 그런데 본인이 전학 가겠다고 하면 학적에 안 남고 네 명은 그대로 있었기 때문에 계속 따돌림을 당했다"고 했다. </p>
