 Graphy said Tuesday it signed an agreement with MegaGen Implant covering strategic cooperation and product supply and distribution. The companies plan to finalize product-specific supply terms and country-by-country sales plans before signing a three-way definitive agreement among Graphy, Ray and MegaGen later this month.
 The partnership will combine Graphy and Ray’s existing overseas sales operations with MegaGen Implant’s network of international subsidiaries and distributors.
 Under the agreement, MegaGen Implant plans to distribute Ray’s digital diagnostic equipment globally, including the R2 Studio Q dental cone-beam computed tomography, or CBCT, system, as well as intraoral and facial scanners.
 The partnership is also expected to advance Graphy’s push into digital dentistry following its acquisition of Ray. The companies plan to initially distribute Ray’s digital diagnostic equipment through MegaGen Implant’s network before gradually adding Graphy products.
 Among Graphy’s products, the companies plan to first distribute an aesthetic restorative material for permanent crowns that has completed development. They then plan to expand the partnership to include white-label distribution of Graphy’s Shape Memory Aligner, or SMA, a directly printed clear aligner based on the company’s shape-memory material technology.
 The planned product lineup will therefore expand from Ray’s digital diagnostic equipment to Graphy’s aesthetic restorative materials and clear aligners. The strategy is aimed at diversifying the product portfolio by adding consumable materials and treatment solutions that generate recurring purchases alongside equipment sales.
 The companies are also discussing including annual minimum purchase requirements in the definitive agreement expected to be signed this month. The size of the minimum purchase commitments and supply terms for individual products will be finalized in the agreement.
 “This agreement is part of the process of putting into action our global expansion strategy following the acquisition of Ray,” Graphy CEO Shim Woon-seop said. “Starting with Ray’s digital diagnostic equipment, we plan to expand the partnership to Graphy’s restorative materials and white-label SMA products, linking the business capabilities of all three companies.”
